(Read aloud, think, and talk!)

1. The Rainbow Lunch Box

🖍️ Kids can draw: A colorful lunch box with many children sitting in a circle.

Riya loved her new lunch box. It was shiny and covered with tiny rainbows. Every day, her mother packed tasty food inside it.

One day at school, Riya opened her lunch box. It was full of her favorite food—soft idlis, chutney, and a small piece of chocolate.

She looked around. Her friend Sam was quietly sitting with his bag closed.

“Sam, aren’t you eating?” Riya asked.

Sam smiled a little. “I forgot my lunch today,” he said softly.

Riya looked at her rainbow lunch box and then at Sam. She thought for a moment and said, “Then today it is a sharing day!”

She moved closer and divided her idlis into two plates. Then she broke her chocolate into two pieces.

Sam’s eyes sparkled. “Thank you, Riya! Your lunch is the best,” he said.

Soon, other children joined them. One shared some fruits, another shared biscuits, and the whole class was smiling and eating together.

The teacher saw them and said, “Your rainbow lunch box is not just colorful, Riya. It brings a rainbow of kindness to our class.”

Moral: Sharing our things makes everyone happy — including us!

2. Miku and the Missing Numbers

🧮 Kids can draw: A blackboard with numbers running and hiding like tiny people.

Miku was a curious boy who loved numbers. He counted stairs, stars, and even drops of rain on the window.

One night, he had a funny dream. He was in his classroom, but the numbers on the blackboard were missing!

“Where are you, numbers?” Miku called.

Suddenly, the number 3 peeked out from behind the dustbin. The number 7 was hiding inside a chalk box, and 10 was sleeping on the teacher’s chair.

“Why are you all hiding?” asked Miku.

The numbers sighed. “Children are scared of us,” said 7. “They say Maths is hard and run away.”

Miku shook his head. “You are not scary! You help us count toys, share sweets, and keep scores in games.”

He picked up the numbers gently and placed them back on the board. “Look,” he said, “3 + 7 = 10. Together you make new friends!”

The numbers smiled. “Maybe children will like us if they know we are helpful,” said 3.

Miku turned to the empty classroom and shouted, “Don’t be afraid of numbers! They are your helpers, not monsters!”

The bell rang, and Miku woke up. The next day, he helped his friends in class with sums, and slowly, everyone started smiling at the numbers on the board.

Moral: Maths becomes easy when we think of numbers as friends.

3. The Kindness Tree

🌳 Kids can draw: A big green tree with tiny hearts hanging like fruits.

In the middle of a small village school, there was a big neem tree. Children played under it every day. But this was not a normal tree. It was called the Kindness Tree.

The Headmaster had tied small paper hearts on the branches. On each heart, a child could write one kind thing they did that day.

One Monday, the tree looked almost empty. Only two hearts were hanging.

“What happened this week?” the teacher asked. The children looked down.

“I will start,” said Anya. “Today I helped Latha carry her heavy bag.” She wrote it on a heart and tied it to a branch.

“I shared my crayons with Ravi,” said another child.

Slowly, more and more hands went up.

By Friday, the Kindness Tree was full of colorful hearts. Visitors who came to the school stopped to read them.

“I said sorry when I pushed my friend by mistake.”
“I gave water to a thirsty dog.”
“I helped my little brother learn a new word.”

The tree didn’t grow fruits, but it grew something even better—kind hearts in every child.

Moral: Small acts of kindness make our home and school a happier place.

4. Toto the Brave Toothbrush

😁 Kids can draw: A smiling toothbrush and a sad sugar bug.

Toto was a tiny blue toothbrush who lived in a cup near the washbasin. Every morning, Toto waited for his boy, Arjun, to wake up.

But Arjun was lazy. He brushed quickly for only ten seconds and ran away to play.

One night, Toto heard whispers. The sugar bugs were dancing on Arjun’s teeth.

“We love this place!” they giggled. “No proper brushing, no problem!”

Toto was worried. “If this continues, Arjun will get toothache,” he thought.

The next morning, when Arjun picked him up, Toto decided to tickle his gums a bit more than usual.

“Ouch! That feels strange,” said Arjun. Then he saw himself in the mirror and noticed some yellow on his teeth.

Just then, the school health worker’s words came to his mind: “Brush for two minutes, twice a day!”

“Okay, Toto,” Arjun said, “Today we fight the sugar bugs properly!”

He brushed up and down, round and round, slowly and carefully. The sugar bugs shouted, “Nooo!” and ran away.

From that day, Arjun and Toto worked like a team. His smile became bright, and the dentist said, “Well done, champ!”

Moral: Brush your teeth well every morning and night to keep them strong and healthy.
