Entrance Test Notification

For Admission into Bachelor of Education Programme [B.Ed. - ODL] 2026-27 [Recognized by NCTE]

Item	Notification Details & General Requirements
Eligibility	1. The candidates should be an Indian citizen. 2. Candidates should have passed with at least 50% of marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./B.Sc. (Home Science)/BBM/BBA/B.E/B.Tech. 3. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PWD should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. 4. The students who wish to take admission in B.Ed. with B.E/B.Tech must have Science/Mathematics as one of the subjects. 5. B.C.A. Candidate must pass Intermediate with concern subjects to opt the Methodology. 6. The Candidates who have completed (passed) the qualifying examination on or before July-2026 are eligible. 7. If the candidate has not secured the required percentage of marks in Undergraduate, the marks secured in Post-Graduation will be considered (provided he/she studied the relevant subject at P.G. level). 8. The following categories are eligible to seek admission into B.Ed. (ODL): (i) Trained in-Service teachers in elementary education. (ii) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode (Regular mode). 9. There shall be reservations for SC/ST/BC/PWD categories as per the rules in vogue. 10. EWS quota seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates on production of the relevant certificates/documents. 11. PH, Sports, NCC and CAP quota seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates on production of the relevant certificates/documents. 12. Candidate should have completed 21 years as on 1st July 2026. There shall be no upper age limit.
Note	1. As per the G.O.Ms. No:92 and G.O.Ms. No.13, the candidates who passed MBBS/BDS/BPT/BAMS/BL/LLB/B.Pharm/BHMT/BVSC/B.Sc.(AG)/B.A. (Languages)/BOL etc. and other such Professional and Job Oriented courses are not eligible for admission into B.Ed. Programme. 2. Diploma in ECE/PSE and other Pre-Primary Teacher Training Certificate/Diploma (PPTTC) completed candidates are not eligible for admission into B.Ed. (ODL) Programme. 3. Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized Teacher Education Programme through Distance mode are not eligible.

Syllabus for Entrance Test	The Entrance Test Question Paper will have 3 parts for 100 Marks with 100 Objective type (Multiple Choice) questions. Part-I: General English Comprehension (25 Marks) Part-II: Proficiency in Telugu (25 Marks) Part-III: General Mental Ability (50 Marks)

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University - Entrance Test Particulars

Process Window	Mode and Registration Execution Parameters
Mode of Entrance Test & Registration	Entrance Test will be conducted Online (Computer Based Test [CBT] mode). Entrance Test will be conducted in Telugu (Medium) only. Register and Pay the Registration fee through University portal (www.braouonline.in) from 05-07-2026. Candidates have to pay Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only). SC/ST/PWD candidates have to pay Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty only) through online on or before 24-07-2026. Last date for Payment of fee and Submission of online Application Forms with late fee of Rs. 500/-: 26-07-2026.
Details of Entrance Test	Entrance Test will be held on 1st Week of August at selected Examination Centers. The University reserves the right to allot candidates to any other Entrance Test Centre(s) other than their choice in unavoidable circumstances.

Without the hall ticket, the candidate is not allowed to appear for the Entrance Test.
